Native starch is a complex carbohydrate of plant origin. It is tasteless amorphous white powder which is water insoluble. It is the product of mechanical processing of the natural origin raw material – potato, corn, wheat, pea and others. Native starches don’t belong to food additives and are most appropriate for freshly prepared products with short shelf life.
